Hit me with your eyes so sweetly

Models. They're really just human clothes hangers and I have a few favorites that I wanted to introduce to you today because they crop up in my posts pretty often

Freja Beha Erichsen
Nationality: Danish
Date of Birth: 18/10/87 (23 yrs)

Significant Model Factoids:
- Signed with IMG in 2004
- Made her runway debut during the Fall 2005/6 shows
- Became face of Chanel in 2007 and has been
Lagerfeld's muse ever since
- Has appeared in the covers of British, French, Japanese and Italian VOGUE

- Has appeared in ad campaigns for Balenciaga, ck Calvin Klein, H&M, Gap, Pringle of Scotland, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara, Valentino and many more

Why I like Freja: Well, she's alittle badass and has a whole bunch of tattoos and piercings which are usually frowned upon in the industry. Also, when she was signed she promised not to cut her hair as a way to make up for her body art... one of the first things she did before fashion week? Cut her hair.

Her Spring 2011 Ad campaigns:

Some of Freja's runway moments of the past two seasons

Spring 2011 from left to right: Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Pucci, Lanvin and Stella McCartney.
Fall 2011: Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Valentino, Celine, Givenchy, Haider Ackermann, Lanvin, Balenciaga and Balmain
And lastly my favorite editorial: French VOGUE October 2010

Abbey Lee Kershaw
Nationality: Australian
Date of Birth: 12/06/87 (23 yrs)

Significant Model Factoids:
- Won the Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search   in 2004
- Signed with NEXT Model Management 2007
- Has appeared in ad campaigns for: Hugo Boss, Versace, D&G, Ralph Lauren, Chloe, Chanel, Anna Sui, Alexander Wang and more
- Dyes her hair platinum just before the Spring 2011 shows
- V Magazine dubs her a 'supermodel' in 2011

Why I like Abbey: She's got this whole innocent as pie look going for her, but she is as much as a badass as Freja. I think her transition from brunette to platinum completely revolutionized her look and made her much more of a high fashion model. It's no wonder she entered the 2010 and 11 seasons as one of the most sought after.

Spring 2011 Ad campaigns:
Tom Ford Eyewear

 Donna Karan with Karlie Kloss
Versace
Runway work:

Miu Miu, Fendi, Chanel, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Proenza Schouler, Gucci and Donna Karan
Chanel, Elie Saab, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Gucci, Burberry Prorsum and Julien Macdonald
Favorite editorial: Australian VOGUE September 2009

Karlie Kloss
Nationality: American
Date of Birth: 03/08/92 (18 yrs)

Significant Model Factoids:
- Signed to Elite Model Management in 2007
- Sept 2007 named a rising star of the Spring 2008 shows
- Becomes face of Marc Jacobs perfume Lola
- Becomes face of Dior and muse to John Galliano
- Appeared on the covers of Italian, Korean, Chinese and Teen VOGUE
- Too many campaigns to count friends
- Paris VOGUE named her one of the top 30 models of the 2000s

Why I like Karlie: I'm not gonna lie, I used to dislike the 6ft teen with the magical walk, but something changed and she's grown on me. She's an exceptional walker and it is no wonder she has opened and closed as many shows as she has. I think I'm just super jealous of all the amazing opportunities she's had as a model. She's living the dream and she's bloody 18.

Ad campaigns:

Favorite editorial: British VOGUE October 2010
I think that's suitable for now and I really need to get back to writing papers so look to this space for another models post soon!
